Ladybug guy has to move.

Friday, May 25th, 2007

About an artist getting priced out in a way from his studio / abode: Ladybug guy’s paradise about to be paved (Seattle-PI).

Its sad and a paradox. As a city grows and changes (and has growing pains) where are poor artists to go? How many artists can afford a $500k+ condo or the rising cost of rent, and an expensive studio space? But as the mayor expressed, artists and the arts are a key part of a city’s soul…

As a bumper sticker once said “Art saves lives.”
